UMB Bank is seeking a Business Banking professional to help grow the loan portfolio for middle-market companies in Texas. You’ll manage relationships, analyze credit, and coordinate with underwriting to present favorable credit terms.

The role emphasizes prospecting, portfolio management, and cross-selling across bank products, with a focus on maintaining strong client relations and credit quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• Three years banking experience including credit analysis and client management.
• Strong understanding of credit underwriting.
• Knowledge of bank products, services, and operations.
• Ability to interpret policies/procedures, loan contracts, and credit reports.
• High level of analytical skill.
• Self-starter with initiative.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
• Ability to prospect and network within a company.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a conduit for all product lines and match client needs with appropriate products.
• Grow revenue by prospecting new business within portfolio and making referrals.
• Maintain a portfolio by calling on existing customers to expand business and ensure credit quality.
• Negotiate credit arrangements and prepare credit memoranda for underwriting.
• Continuously monitor borrowing base reports and covenant compliance with regular reporting requirements.
• Provide recurring customer service to existing clients and maintain UMB TUCE.
