Job summary

Dow Inc. is seeking a Senior Business Development Specialist to identify and convert new opportunities within ICT and Wire & Cable segments.

The role focuses on expanding Dow’s market presence by generating new business rather than managing existing accounts, collaborating with Marketing, TS&D, Product Management, and Commercial teams to drive growth. The preferred location is Houston, TX, with consideration for Midland, MI or a US-remote option.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Engineering, Chemistry, Marketing, or related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant working experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.
• U.S. work authorization required; no visa sponsorship offered.

Responsibilities

• Identify, qualify, and develop new customer opportunities aligned with growth priorities.
• Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospects and projects.
• Collaborate with Marketing to identify market trends and growth segments.
• Work with Technical Service & Development to evaluate applications and enable trials.
• Develop market penetration strategies to establish Dow products in new applications.
• Engage decision-makers to build relationships and uncover opportunities.
• Gather market intelligence to guide strategy and innovation priorities.
• Lead end-to-end opportunity development from prospecting to launch.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams for successful execution of new initiatives.
• Support forecasting, pipeline management, and business planning for growth projects.
