Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an experienced Store/Assistant Store Manager for our Cape Girardeau, MO location. You will supervise day-to-day store operations, coach Associates, manage payroll and scheduling, and ensure adherence to company standards and safety policies.

Responsibilities include leading best practices, analyzing performance metrics, recruiting and developing staff, and maintaining a clean, customer-friendly store environment to deliver exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of store or assistant store manager experience in a retail environment.
• Ability to supervise, motivate and communicate positively to store Associates at all levels.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize those tasks, give direction and follow through to completion.
• Ability to set priorities and exercise independent judgment.
• Maintain high quality of Customer service.
• Fluency in English.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Leads all Company Best Practices and maximizes productivity.
• Assists in analyzing store reports to evaluate controllable expenses and overall store performance.
• Communicates variances to Company standards to the Store Manager.
• Ensures proper scheduling of Associates to meet business objectives.
• Ensures compliance with all State, Local and Federal regulations.
• Maintains a clean and safe store environment and completes safety tasks.
• Assists in recruiting, hiring, training and developing non-exempt Associates.
• Oversees payroll administration and scheduling as needed.
• Supervises Customer Service and Merchandise Presentation programs.
