Job summary

IRP Med is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to drive revenue growth in medical and aerospace elastomer markets, focusing on LSR injection molding. The role requires pursuing new business from concept through production launch and leading technical-commercial engagements with customers.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in BD or technical sales, a strong engineering background, and proven ability to manage complex quotes and early-stage programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in business development, sales engineering, or technical sales within medical devices, aerospace elastomers, or silicone/rubber molded components.
• Strong engineering background (Mechanical, Materials, Chemical, or related discipline preferred).
• Demonstrated knowledge of LSR and silicone elastomer materials, rubber compounds, tooling design, and molding processes.
• Proven experience supporting complex quotes and early-stage program development.
• Established industry contacts and customer relationships.
• Ability to operate independently in a remote role and travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Identify, pursue, and close new business in medical devices, life sciences, and aerospace applications.
• Leverage industry relationships to generate opportunities and act as primary commercial/technical interface with customers.
• Develop account strategies for OEMs, Tier 1s, and high-growth innovators.
• Support upfront quoting and RFQ evaluation including DFM feedback and material selection.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and operations to ensure quotes are technically sound.
• Travel regularly to customer sites, trade shows, and industry events.
• Represent IRP Med as a technical authority and trusted partner.
