Job summary

SuperOrdinary is seeking a Senior Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis to partner with commercial leadership on new initiatives, marketplaces, and growth programs. You will own forecasts, budgets, and monthly close for emerging channels and drive actionable insights.

The role blends rigorous modeling with executive storytelling, cross-functional alignment, and hands-on finance leadership to guide scale and profitability across DTC and marketplace initiatives.

Qualifications

• 6+ years' experience in FP&A, corporate finance, strategic finance, or consulting, including time supporting a commercial, channel, or new-business P&L.
• Experience within Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) and eCommerce/marketplace businesses is strongly preferred, ideally both.
• Understanding of TikTok Shop, Amazon, or marketplace economics OR strong analytical expertise with demonstrated digital commerce experience.
• Experience owning budgets, forecasts, and month-end reporting cycles end to end.
• Strong understanding of cash flow drivers, working capital, and cash flow forecasting.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; experience with ERP and Financial Planning tools (e.g., NetSuite, OneStream) preferred.
• Ability to communicate complex financial concepts to executive and non-finance audiences.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities and high attention to detail.
• Comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, growth-stage environment.
• Working knowledge of AI tools and how to apply them to financial analysis, reporting, and workflow automation.

Responsibilities

• Own budgets, forecasts, and monthly close for new business initiatives and emerging channel P&Ls.
• Build driver-based revenue models spanning units and velocity, price and promotion, GMV and take rate, affiliate and creator commissions, livestream hours, paid media spend, COGS and freight, returns, and contribution margin.
• Deliver weekly and monthly variance analysis against budget and forecast with commentary on drivers.
• Partner with Accounting on month-end close, accruals, and revenue recognition for marketplace and commission-based revenue streams.
• Maintain reporting packages and dashboards giving leadership a single source of truth on channel performance.
• Manage segmentation reporting for different business lines within the department.
• Identify forecast risks and upside, quantify P&L impact, and flag them before they land.
• Provide financial recommendations to leadership on entering, pricing, and scaling new initiatives.
• Build business cases for new lines and market expansions including investment, payback, and margin impact.
• Run project-based financial analyses to provide strategic insights.
• Educate executives on channel economics, unit margin, and profitability levers.
