Job summary

Gallagher is seeking an experienced insurance sales professional in Chicago to connect Retail Agents with national markets and deliver underwriting solutions through carrier relationships.

You will prospect, market wholesale insurance solutions, build carrier relationships, and qualify submissions while staying ahead of market trends; travel as needed to engage with clients and carriers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of related experience.
• Home state P&C license (or willingness to obtain within 90 days).
• Proven business development and relationship management skills.
• Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and excellent communication.
• Sales experience in insurance or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and develop new business through networking with Retail Agents and Carrier Underwriters.
• Market and sell wholesale insurance solutions to achieve production goals.
• Build relationships with Specialty Carriers for competitive pricing and access to coverage.
• Pre-qualify submissions and focus on high-probability opportunities.
• Analyze submissions to select best carrier, coverage, and premium.
• Gather client risk information and identify additional exposures for quotes.
• Stay ahead of industry trends affecting underwriting guidelines, pricing, premiums.
• Educate partners on RPS’s range of risk solutions and products.
• Lead, train, and oversee support team when assigned.
• Travel as needed to engage with clients and carriers.
