Job summary

Regions Bank is seeking a Mortgage Loan Officer to originate residential mortgage loans through a branch network in Houston, Texas. You will complete applications, evaluate requests, maintain customer contact, and ensure compliance with lending practices and regulations.

This full-time role offers commission-based pay with potential total compensation ranging from $20,000 to $100,000+ annually, depending on location and performance, plus a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of mortgage lending experience with proven production.
• Experience developing external business via referral partners (realtors, builders, financial planners).
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Prior Mortgage Loan Officer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes mortgage applications for submission to processing and underwriting.
• Evaluates loan requests, analyzes financial data and credit history.
• Maintains contact with loan customers and communicates progress.
• Structures loans to conform with lending practices and regulations.
• Builds detailed marketing plans and networks with clients and partners.
• Makes sales calls to develop new business and retain existing business.
• Cross-sells other bank products and services.
• Reads surveys and appraisals and addresses issues.
• Participates in professional/community networking to promote loan products.
