Job summary

Regions Bank is seeking a Mortgage Loan Officer in Houston, TX to originate residential mortgage loans through Regional branches. You will evaluate requests, communicate progress, and ensure compliance with lending regulations while building strong customer relationships.

The role involves calling on realtors, builders, and financial planners to grow external business, with compensation based on an incentive plan and performance metrics.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• One year of mortgage lending experience with proven production.
• Experience developing external business via referral partners (realtors, builders, financial planners).

Responsibilities

• Completes mortgage applications for submission to loan processing and underwriting.
• Evaluates loan requests, analyzes financial data, and determines qualification of collateral and customer credit history.
• Maintains contact with loan customers and communicates progress of loan and required documentation.
• Structures loan to comply with lending practices and regulations.
• Establishes marketing plan and contacts with potential and existing customers.
• Cross-sells other bank products and services.
