Job summary

CAT is seeking an Inside Sales Representative in Midland, TX to sell products to business and industrial establishments. You will document prospective customers in CRM, pre-qualify leads, call customers to solicit orders, and demonstrate products using samples or catalogs.

You will quote prices, prepare contracts, maintain transaction reports, and coordinate customer training while building relationships with purchasing contacts. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 1–2 years related experience or training.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and percentages.

Responsibilities

• Document lists of prospective customers in the CRM system.
• Pre-qualify sales leads for outside sales.
• Call regular and prospective customers to solicit orders.
• Display or demonstrate product using samples or catalogs.
• Quote prices and prepare sales contracts.
• Prepare reports of business transactions and track expenses.
• Coordinate customer training and maintain literature.
• Enter new customer data into the database.
• Develop and maintain relationships with purchasing contacts.
• Investigate and resolve customer problems.
