Job summary

Zions Bancorporation in Nampa, ID is seeking an experienced Business Banker to provide full-service banking support with a primary focus on sales and service for Ada County clients. The role emphasizes growing a portfolio, cross-selling products, and delivering tailored financial solutions.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in banking/finance and at least 2 years of credit-related lending experience, with strong interpersonal skills and a consultative approach to client needs.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in banking, finance or a related field and 2 year of credit associated lending or other directly related experience
• Knowledge and experience of Business Bank lending, credit analysis preferable in a commercial lending environment
• Ability to expand loans, client relationships and cross sell bank products
• Solid experience with the sales, loan processing and closing processes
• Requires skills and experience in applicant interviewing and perceptive character judgment
• Ability to structure loans and monitor credit performance
• Must have good interpersonal and communication skills
• Solid working knowledge of software applications, including word processing and spreadsheets
• Manages a small commercial portfolio

Responsibilities

• Grow, retain, and expand a portfolio of existing Business Banking clients
• Source new customers through referrals
• Cross-sell and promote additional banking products to increase deposits
• Conduct client/prospect calls and referrals to gain new business
• Propose appropriate solutions as a trusted advisor to meet client objectives
• Meet revenue goals for the region and products
• Learn the business and personal financial needs of clients
• Visit client locations regularly
• Develop and manage a relationship plan for each client
• Respond to client requests directly or via the appropriate resource
• Meet or exceed KPIs for portfolio growth, revenue, retention, and customer satisfaction
• Handle sales, credit analysis, loan structuring, and interviewing applicants
• Ensure compliance with company policies and banking regulations
• Take on other duties as assigned
