Job summary

Mill Creek Residential Trust LLC is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to join a project team responsible for high-density residential and mixed-use construction. You will report to the Project Superintendent and oversee trades and punch carpenters, coordinating inspections and ensuring compliance with plans and safety standards.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma (Bachelor’s preferred) and at least 2 years in multifamily construction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in multi-family construction required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and directs the efforts of MCRT Punch Carpenters and Laborers.
• Coordinates relationships with building officials and inspectors and schedules inspections.
• Identifies project risks and recommends mitigations to the Project Superintendent.
• Creates and tracks punch lists; ensures completion before inspections and product acceptance.
• Inspects subcontractor work to meet contracted obligations and company standards.
• Maintains and updates project schedules; ensures tasks are completed on time.
• Participates in safety and subcontractor meetings and records meeting minutes.
• Monitors material ordering, delivery, and storage to align with the project schedule.
• Ensures subcontractor safety compliance and maintains a safe work site.
• Reviews plans to identify inconsistencies and proposes resolutions.
• Verifies dimensions and layouts per plans and applicable codes.
• Maintains documentation and organizes paperwork per company policies.
• Coordinates with third-party consultants and inspectors; schedules inspections and responds to punch-list items.
• Engages in company-provided training on safety and non-discrimination.
