Job summary

Mill Creek Residential Trust LLC seeks an Assistant Superintendent for the Fort Lee Construction site. You will supervise punch carpenters and laborers, coordinate inspections with officials, and help manage project risks and schedules to ensure quality and timely completion.

Required high school diploma with 2+ years in multi-family construction; Bachelor’s in construction management preferred. Proficiency in MS Project/Office is expected; Procore and Textura are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in multi-family construction.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and directs the efforts of MCRT Punch Carpenters and Laborers.
• Develops relationships with building officials and inspectors and coordinates required inspections.
• Identifies project risks and advises the Project Superintendent on safety, scheduling, change orders, and documentation conflicts.
• Monitors work of subcontractors and punch carpenters; notifies Project Superintendent of non-performing subs.
• Prepares punch lists and ensures completion before inspections and product acceptance.
• Inspects subcontractor work for compliance with contracts and quality standards.
• Assists in updating project schedules and ensures tasks are completed per schedule.
• Participates in weekly safety and subcontractor meetings and records minutes.
• Manages materials ordering, delivery, and storage in line with project schedule.
• Ensures site safety compliance and maintains safe work environment.
• Reviews plans to identify errors and coordinate resolutions.
• Verifies dimensions and layouts to ensure compliance with plans and codes.
• Maintains organized project documentation and filing.
• Coordinates with third-party inspectors and responds to punch-list items.
• Participates in company safety training.
