Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. You will support daily tasks, assist customers, and ensure a clean, organized sales floor.

The role requires strong communication, ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and experience in retail management. You will help train associates, supervise opening/closing procedures, and uphold company policies while delivering a positive shopping experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; ability to read and interpret operational directives.
• Previous store or retail management experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical store tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communicate store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, record-keeping and loss prevention.
• Keep store areas well-stocked and organized to company standards.
• Protect store assets including cash; ensure policy compliance.
• Help supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
