Job summary

Comfy, a San Francisco–based AI startup, seeks a senior full-stack engineer to own the growth engine for Comfy Cloud. You’ll drive signup, onboarding, activation, monetization, and retention by running end-to-end experiments from hypothesis to production.

You’ll collaborate with Product, Design, Data, Marketing, and founders to translate data and user insight into shippable product using TypeScript, frontend and backend services, and SQL-based analytics.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering across frontend and backend
• Own activation, conversion, retention, or revenue metrics and explain impact
• Run experiments from hypothesis to analysis, even with ambiguous results
• Ability to combine data, user insight, product judgment, and constraints into bets
• Experience building user-facing TS frontend and backend services/APIs
• Familiarity with product analytics tools to explore funnels and cohorts

Responsibilities

• Own experiments end to end: identify opportunity, form hypothesis, define metrics, build and instrument, launch, analyze, decide ship-or-kill
• Improve the full Comfy Cloud journey: signup, onboarding, templates, upgrades, billing, retention
• Build across the stack: frontend, backend, APIs, data models, billing logic, integrations
• Drive product outcomes: activation, value time, free-to-paid conversion, retention, revenue
• Query product data and investigate user behavior without dependence on analysts
• Document learnings and raise growth engineering bar for reproducible experiments
• Turn successful experiments into durable, production-quality experiences
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Data, Marketing and founders in ambiguity
