Job summary

Action Resources is seeking an Operations Leader to drive profitable growth across the terminal, coordinating day-to-day operations with drivers and other terminals to meet company needs in the assigned market.

Responsibilities include driver retention and development, safety focus, culture building, asset management, and building trust with customers while meeting KPI targets for safety, service, revenue, and costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in transportation or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience leading teams in transportation operations is preferred.
• Proven ability to manage remote locations and driver relationships.

Responsibilities

• Focused on Safety, Service, Revenue, Assets and Costs in Operations.
• Implement and support continuous improvement and safety efforts.
• Serve as liaison for drivers, owner operators and terminal staff.
• Interact with customers to ensure superior service and meet driver needs.
• Lead change in processes, structure and business modeling.
• Coordinate daily terminal activities and support operating objectives.
• Handle escalations and time-critical issues promptly.
• Collaborate with sales to pursue new business opportunities.
• Mentor staff through performance evaluations and coaching.
• Promote safe work behaviors through EHSS programs.
