Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Senior Director of Sales & Customer Support to drive growth, retention, and strategic direction for the mobile maintenance business.

You will oversee sales, account management, and customer success, aligning commercial objectives with service delivery capabilities. The role requires building and leading a high‑performing, geographically distributed team, negotiating major contracts, and partnering with operations, marketing, and finance to maximize revenue and customer

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in business, marketing, sales, logistics, supply chain or transportation.
• 10+ years of demonstrated successful sales management.
• Knowledge of transportation and food industry principles and logistics of freight movement.
• Knowledge of competitive analysis, strategizing and execution.
• In-depth knowledge of negotiation tools and techniques.
• Knowledge of financial elements (balance sheet, cost of capital, depreciation, tax reporting).
• Knowledge of Ryder Sales Process and Ryder products and services.
• Proficiency with Ryder software/tools (SOM, SAM, Options, LVO, LVL, VP97, D&B, RIDE).

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic growth initiatives for mobile maintenance and manage a high-performing sales/customer support organization.
• Build executive relationships with large strategic customers and lead contract negotiations.
• Develop annual business plans, forecasts, and performance metrics.
• Partner with Operations, Marketing, Finance, Product Development to align commercial objectives with service delivery.
