Benjamin Franklin Plumbing of Coachella Valley, CA, is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead and scale our residential plumbing operation. You will drive growth, manage the P&L, coach technicians, and improve profitability while delivering exceptional client experiences.

The role requires hands-on leadership, industry know-how, and a track record of building high-performing teams in a fast-growing service organization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in the plumbing industry.
• Proven success managing residential plumbing service operations and field technicians.
• Demonstrated ability to increase revenue, improve gross margins, and control costs.
• Strong understanding of P&L management, budgeting, job costing, and operational KPIs.
• Experience coaching technicians on sales performance, customer engagement, and technical excellence.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and take ownership of results.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Drive monthly revenue growth, margins, profitability, and technician productivity.
• Manage operational P&L, budgets, labor, materials, and controllable expenses.
• Improve average ticket and revenue per technician and per truck.
• Coach technicians on ethical selling and service options.
• Review estimates and implement follow-up strategies.
• Lead, train, and evaluate technicians and operations staff.
• Oversee recruiting, onboarding, and performance evaluations.
• Provide technical guidance and ensure quality workmanship.
• Optimize dispatching, scheduling, and technician utilization.
• Maintain safety standards and reduce callbacks.
• Utilize Service Titan to track KPIs and identify revenue opportunities.
• Maintain documentation, dashboards and performance scorecards.
• Oversee inventory, fleet, purchasing, and supplier relations.
• Resolve client concerns and build referrals.
