Job summary

UMB Financial Corporation is seeking a Personal Banker in Kansas City to build customer relationships and recommend financial solutions. You’ll receive extensive training on products, sales processes, and customer service while collaborating with local leadership to develop your skill set.

You’ll grow your personal book of business through prospecting, cross-selling, and referrals, with a focus on achieving strong closing conversions in a fast-paced, high-energy team environment.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of retail banking sales experience or relevant experience.
• Ability to obtain a NMLS registration within 90 days.
• Ability to learn products, services, and procedures quickly and accurately.
• Strong math skills and problem solving within risk parameters.

Responsibilities

• Asking personalized questions to learn customer goals and connect to solutions.
• Manage loan pipeline with focus on home equity, personal, auto loans, and mortgage referrals.
• Create sales opportunities through networking and proactive sourcing.
• Learn bank processes and documentation per industry standards.
• Meet and exceed daily performance metrics while delivering excellent customer experience.
• Other duties as assigned.
