Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a reliable Maintenance Supervisor to ensure facility equipment operates efficiently and to identify improvements in maintenance processes and practices. The role includes overseeing shifts, managing preventive maintenance, and coordinating with the Production Manager on budgets.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of maintenance supervision experience, strong troubleshooting skills for electrical/mechanical systems, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics.

Qualifications

• Requires understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and the ability to read blueprints/schematics.
• Preferred two-year technical degree and a strong record of supervision.
• Must have ability to lift up to 80 lbs and work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and determine corrective action by checking blueprints, schematics, repair manuals and parts catalogs.
• Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
• Perform and assign preventive maintenance on facility and production assets.
• Oversee and implement maintenance regulatory and environmental compliance requirements.
• Assume responsibility for all shifts in the maintenance department.
