Job summary

UniFirst Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance team and ensure facility equipment runs efficiently. You will diagnose, repair, and optimize mechanical and electrical systems, while implementing preventive maintenance and training plans.

The role requires supervising personnel, managing budgets, and ensuring safety compliance. Monday–Friday with overtime as needed; on-site at our Salt Lake City facility; knowledge of CMMS is a plus.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years repairing industrial processing equipment in a production environment.
2+ years supervising maintenance personnel preferred.
Maintenance administration including planning, scheduling, budgeting, parts/vendor management, and CMMS is required.
Ability to read blueprints and schematics is required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
Lockout/Tagout experience is required.
Must lift up to 80 lbs.
High school or GED preferred; two-year technical degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and determine corrective actions from diagrams and manuals.
Inspect, operate, and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions.
Perform basic welding to repair facilities and equipment.
Troubleshoot PLCs and control systems.
Perform preventive maintenance on facilities and production assets.
Follow blueprints and manuals with a documented maintenance schedule.
Manage and assign maintenance work across shifts.
Oversee safety and regulatory compliance in the maintenance department.
Train and develop maintenance staff.
Participate in budgeting for building and equipment.
