Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a reliable Maintenance Supervisor to ensure facility equipment operates efficiently and to lead maintenance staff. The role involves diagnosing issues, planning preventive maintenance, and coordinating with production managers.

The position requires a background in maintenance, ability to read schematics, and strong proficiency with MS Office and maintenance systems. The workweek is Monday–Friday with some overtime and on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years supervising maintenance personnel in a production environment.
• Maintenance administration experience including planning, scheduling, budgeting, parts management, vendor management.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics; knowledge of electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and determine corrective action using manuals and diagrams.
• Inspect, operate, and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions.
• Perform preventive maintenance on facility and production assets.
• Oversee safety and regulatory compliance within the maintenance department.
