Job summary

The Atlantic District in Manassas, VA is seeking a Principal Insurance Agent to lead growth, operations, and client service for our Farmers agency. You will build a local book of business by connecting with families and business owners, while delivering personal and commercial coverage solutions.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in insurance sales or account management, a Virginia P&C license, and a passion for serving the Manassas community.

Qualifications

Five or more years of experience in insurance sales or account management.
Strong knowledge of commercial and personal lines coverage.
Excellent ability to negotiate and explain complex policy details clearly.
Proficiency in using agency management systems and digital lead tracking tools.
Deep roots or a strong desire to serve the Manassas local community.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain a book of business by connecting with local families and business owners.
Analyze current market trends to ensure clients receive the best possible value.
Act as a primary point of contact for resolving policy questions and complex claims issues.
Host community events and meetings to represent The Atlantic District and build lasting local partnerships.
Mentor junior staff to ensure the office maintains high accuracy and care.
Identify unique risks for clients and propose comprehensive solutions that offer peace of mind.
