Job summary

Impact Partners Group seeks a General Manager onsite in Schaumburg, IL to lead a growing lighting, electrical, sustainability, and design-focused business group. You will own P&L, drive revenue growth, manage gross margin, and oversee cost controls while building a high-performing team across sales, estimating, purchasing, project management, and logistics.

Qualifications

• Leadership with P&L responsibility in distribution or related industry.
• Strong understanding of revenue, gross margin, expenses, budgeting and forecasting.
• Experience leading multiple functional departments.
• Strong commercial instincts and customer relationships.
• Proven ability to develop teams and hold leaders accountable.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the P&L across the operating businesses.
• Develop annual operating plans, budgets, forecasts and financial targets with executive leadership.
• Drive performance against revenue, gross margin, operating expense, EBITDA and working-capital objectives.
• Regularly review financial and operating results and take corrective action when needed.
• Establish departmental accountability for financial and operational performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve profitability through pricing, purchasing, productivity, inventory, freight and efficiency.
• Maintain visibility into backlog, pipeline, bookings, revenue, margin and cash-flow drivers.
• Lead day-to-day across the businesses and translate strategy into operating plans.
• Partner with sales to achieve revenue and gross-margin objectives.
• Ensure cross-functional alignment from quote to closeout and improve handoffs between departments.
