Job summary

The Hair Shop is seeking a growth-minded Director of Ecommerce to drive our online business into its next chapter. This hands-on role requires Shopify expertise, ownership of growth strategy and P&L, and a track record of double-digit YoY growth for online channels.

You will lead our DTC website and manage Amazon as a secondary channel, focusing on UX, CRO, merchandising, and campaign execution. Analytics, leadership, and collaboration with Marketing/Creative are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of ecommerce experience with leadership in growth.
• Proven track record of double-digit YoY online/DTC growth.
• Expert hands-on Shopify experience, preferably Shopify Plus.
• Experience managing Amazon sales channels (Seller Central and/or Vendor Central).
• Strong CRO skills: A/B tests, heatmaps, analytics (GA4).

Responsibilities

• Own growth strategy and P&L for online channel with marketing partnership.
• Lead the direct-to-consumer website including UX, CRO, and AOV.
• Oversee Amazon business: listings, ads, inventory, growth strategy.
• Set and execute site growth roadmap and funnel optimization.
• Lead structured CRO program with A/B and multivariate tests.
• Own Shopify platform roadmap, theme/app ecosystem, and performance.
• Manage onsite merchandising and content across consumer and professional segments.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Creative, Retention and Education for traffic and conversion.
• Use GA4, Shopify analytics, and heatmaps to inform growth plan.
• Manage a team of two direct reports plus external agency and partners.
• Own testing and QA for new features and campaigns.
• Stay ahead of ecommerce trends in beauty/haircare.
