Alvarez & Marsal is seeking an ambitious Management Consulting Associate for its Consumer & Retail Group in San Francisco. The role targets undergraduates and non-MBA master’s graduates with a September 2027 start, offering hands-on client work, rigorous training, and mentorship within a high-growth practice.

You will join a team delivering growth strategy, transformations, and post-merger integration while developing technical and presentation skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or non-MBA master’s degree from a top university.
• Internship or relevant experience in consumer/retail business, consulting, or corporate roles with financial/operational focus.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access.
• Analytical and data-fluent, able to distill complex insights into clear actions.
• Creative problem-solver with a talent for building tools and streamlining processes.
• Commercially minded, with experience in proposal development.
• Polished communicator with strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Willing to travel up to 70% (Monday–Friday)

Responsibilities
