Job summary

Cirks Construction Inc. (CCI), dba KDC Construction, is seeking an Assistant Project Manager in California to support project teams from preconstruction through closeout.

You will assist in managing projects, coordinate planning and documentation, and help maintain client relationships. The role requires 2–5 years of project management experience, a construction-related degree preferred, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of project management or related experience.
• Degree in construction management or a related field preferred.
• Proven track record of achievements and leadership.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills at all project levels.
• Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project; experience with CMiC, PlanGrid, and Bluebeam is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Support planning, design, execution, and closing of assigned projects.
• Provide support to the Project Manager and Senior Project Manager.
• Establish and nurture long-term client relationships.
• Communicate project specifications across all levels and with clients, subs, and vendors.
• Coordinate preconstruction activities, including site walks and plan distribution.
• Prepare budgets and estimates for design stages and develop bid packages.
• Update weekly schedules and identify milestones and long-lead items.
• Support on-site relationships with clients, subcontractors, and city officials.
