Job summary

Thrivent Financial is seeking a Growth & Development Manager, Virtual Advice - Hybrid, to lead a local team of nationally licensed advisors serving clients nationwide. You will coach advisors, drive sales and productivity, and align with budget and organizational objectives.

You will interview and onboard talent, deliver ongoing training, and ensure a high-quality client experience while collaborating with leadership across HR, virtual advice, and field teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business/management or related field
• Prior financial advisor experience and multi-year team leadership (8+ members)
• Eligible for Securities and Insurance licensing in all states and D.C.
• Licensing (Series 7/63/65 or 66) preferred and to be obtained within 120 days of hire
• Experience with virtual or hybrid working environments
• Familiarity with planning tools like Money Guide Pro is a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead a local team of advisors across all states with a focus on coaching and consultative sales skills
• Conduct daily/weekly coaching sessions, on-site and virtual
• Drive performance planning, budgeting, and business decisions
• Interview, hire, and onboard talent to meet staffing expectations
• Ensure consistent practice management and client experience standards
• Collaborate with leaders, HR, and virtual advice teams to improve processes
• Develop talent through cross-channel career pathing and leadership development
• Engage stakeholders to improve sales targets and client outcomes
