Job summary

Mercury is seeking a Growth Design Manager to lead a team of designers across Conversion, Activation, and Virality. You will partner with Product and Engineering to identify high‑leverage opportunities and translate ambiguity into a clear direction.

This role emphasizes growth as a design problem, not just optimization, and requires building scalable design systems that enable rapid, impactful work.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the designers across Mercury’s Growth organization, providing context, coaching, and feedback.
• Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to shape Growth strategy and turn opportunities into customer experiences.
• Drive learning through experimentation, customer insight, and business results to inform what to build next.
• Raise the quality bar across Mercury’s experiences, from public web presence to conversion and activation.
• Create clarity in ambiguous problem spaces and define what matters and what constitutes excellent execution.
• Build systems and operating practices to scale Growth Design while preserving judgment and creativity.
• Grow the team thoughtfully by identifying designer needs and结构.
