Job summary

Mattel is seeking a Sales Planning and Analytics Analyst, Growth Channel, based in El Segundo, CA. You will support Sales and Growth Channels' Inventory and Planning teams in forecasting, order fulfillment and planning, reporting to the Sr.

Manager, Sales Planning and Analytics. The role requires 3 years in a retailer-facing or demand planning environment, strong Excel skills and experience with data blending and forecasting.

Qualifications

• 3 years in retailer facing role, inventory management or demand planning preferred.
• Proven analytical capability and attention to detail in identifying demand trends, seasonality and promotional impact.
• Experience in analyzing large data sets and blending data from multiple sources for actionable reports.
• Preferred knowledge of demand forecasting tools and cross-functional forecasting processes, specifically Anaplan.
• Power user in MS Excel required.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Sales team to analyze sales trends and improve item-level POS projections, inventory projections and order recommendations.
• Determine appropriate models for evaluating item-level forecasts, considering consumption forecasts, history, inventory levels and promotions.
• Create POS projections based on seasonality, planned promotions, distribution and price point.
• Improve forecast accuracy by measuring metrics and sharing data with cross-functional teams, identifying root causes and next actions.
• Lead and participate in consensus forecasting meetings with Customers Planners and Inventory Analysts to reach monthly forecasts.
• Prepare standard reporting and ad hoc analyses to support GC Sales and other business needs.
