Job summary

Rutgers University-Camden is seeking a Program Coordinator I for the CCR & R, reporting to the Sr. Program Director.

The role centers on planning and implementing the Grow NJ Kids program, with a focus on recruitment and enrollment and providing technical assistance to early care and education programs in Cumberland, Gloucester & Salem Counties. The position supports the Grow NJ Kids framework to meet high-quality standards and may operate with a hybrid work arrangement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or related field (psychology, social work, or any other field related to child growth and development), or equivalent combination of education and/or experience plus two years of experience.
  • Experience with administering structured classroom observation tools ( ERS , CLASS , etc.). Must obtain rater reliability or become a state anchor within first 12 months of hire.
  • Knowledge of NJ pre-school teaching and learning standards, NJ birth to three learning standards, and mentoring and coaching practices with program administrators and teachers.
  • Meet New Jersey Child Care Information System ( NJCCIS ) registry criteria.
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate and execute established plans and policies.
  • Strong organizational skills to complete work that is accurate, relevant, and timely.
  • Fluent with Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement NJ Quality Rating and Improvement System (Grow NJ Kids) activities.
  • Provide targeted technical assistance and coaching to enrolled programs as part of Grow NJ Kids continuous improvement cycle.
