Job summary

Wonderspring Early Education in Pennsylvania seeks a Group Supervisor for the Colonial School-age team. You will help lead day-to-day operations of the before- and after-school program, collaborating with families and school staff to ensure high-quality care.

The role emphasizes developmentally appropriate activity planning, staff mentorship, and smooth enrollment, with strong communication to parents and district personnel throughout the year.

Qualifications

  • AA in Education required; BA/BS in Education preferred.
  • Two (2) years’ experience working with children.
  • Excellent communication with families and school district personnel.
  • Clearances and TB health assessment required before employment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and implement lesson plans based on developmentally appropriate practices.
  • Communicate with families about children's development via observations and reports.
  • Collaborate with district personnel to support programming.
  • Supervise and mentor staff with the Site Supervisor and Center Director.

About the Role

Wonderspring, a nonprofit early childhood education organization, is seeking a Group Supervisor for our Colonial School-age team. In this role, you will support our before and after school program in the Colonial School District.

In this role, you will assist with leading the day-to-day operations of the school-age programs throughout the school year and summer.

Responsibilities
  • Coordination and implementation of lesson plans based on developmentally appropriate practices
  • Ensure effective communication with families regarding children’s developmental growth through observations, anecdotal reports, and conferences
  • Collaborate with school district personnel to include principals, teachers, administrative and custodial staff as complimentary supports to programming
  • Working with the Site Supervisor and Center Director to orient, supervise and mentor staff by providing necessary tools, information, and support to ensure success
  • Facilitate family intake and enrollment process
Qualifications
  • AA in Education, required; BA/BS Education preferred
  • Two (2) years’ experience working with children
  • Excellent, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills reflecting strong customer service and the ability to interact effectively with parents/guardians and school district personnel
  • Must obtain all required clearances and complete a Health Assessment with TB screening prior to employment
