Job summary

Wonderspring is seeking a Group Supervisor for our Colonial School-age program to lead day-to-day operations and ensure high-quality, developmentally appropriate activities for school-age children.

You will coordinate lesson plans, communicate with families about children's progress, and collaborate with school district personnel to support programming. You will mentor staff and orient new team members while guiding family intake and enrollment.

Qualifications

  • AA in Education is required; BA/BS in Education preferred.
  • Two years of experience working with children.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication for families and school district staff.
  • Must meet all DHS requirements, including clearances and health assessment.

Responsibilities

Group Supervisor – Wonderspring Colonial School-Age Program

Location: Wonderspring Colonial School-Age Program

Pay: $21.00 per hour

Wonderspring, a nonprofit early childhood education organization, is seeking a Group Supervisor for our Colonial School-age team. In this role, you will support our before and after school program in the Colonial School District.

About the Role

In this role, you will assist with leading the day-to-day operations of the school-age programs throughout the school year and summer.

  • Coordination and implementation of lesson plans based on developmentally appropriate practices
  • Ensure effective communication with families regarding children’s developmental growth through observations, anecdotal reports, and conferences
  • Collaborate with school district personnel to include principals, teachers, administrative and custodial staff as complimentary supports to programming
  • Work with the Site Supervisor and Center Director to orient, supervise and mentor staff by providing necessary tools, information, and support to ensure success
  • Facilitate family intake and enrollment process
Qualifications
  • AA in Education, required; BA/BS Education preferred
  • Two (2) years’ experience working with children
  • Excellent, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills reflecting strong customer service and the ability to interact effectively with parents/guardians and school district personnel
  • Must meet all DHS requirements, including current clearances (PA State Police, Child Abuse, FBI, NSOR) and a Health Assessment with TB test
