Rite of Passage is seeking a Group Supervisor for the Texas Monarch Academy for Girls (TMAG) in Denison, Texas. The position leads Direct Juvenile Support Workers, Coach Counselors, and Night Coach Counselors within a trauma‑informed, gender‑responsive program for girls aged 10–17.

The role emphasizes staff guidance, adherence to schedules, proper staff‑to‑student ratios, and serving as a positive role model aligned with ROP programming. This is a full-time on-site position in North Texas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 21 years of age.
• At least 1 year of experience working with at‑risk youth.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Providing guidance and support to staff and students.
• Ensuring adherence to facility rules and daily schedules, including timeliness and participation in program elements.
• Working the same schedule as Coach Counselors and maintaining the proper staff‑to‑student ratio for coverage.
• Serving as a role model, leading by example, and modeling ROP programming.

Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth! Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Group Supervisor at Texas Monarch Academy for Girls (TMAG) in Denison, Texas. TMAG is a secure post‑adjudication facility located in North Texas that provides comprehensive services to young women (10‑17) using a trauma‑informed, strength‑based, gender‑responsive model.

Pay & Benefits

Pay: $50,000 annually. Bonus: $1,000 after successful completion of essential skills training (within the first 90 days).

Responsibilities

A Group Supervisor is a lead mentor who directs and supervises Direct Juvenile Support Workers, Coach Counselors, and Night Coach Counselors. This role includes:

• Providing guidance and support to staff and students
• Ensuring adherence to facility rules and daily schedules, including timeliness and participation in program elements
• Working the same schedule as Coach Counselors and maintaining the proper staff‑to‑student ratio for coverage
• Serving as a role model, leading by example, and modeling ROP programming

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of experience working with at‑risk youth
• Supervisory experience preferred
• At least 21 years of age
• Pass a criminal background check, drug test, physical, and TB test
• Pass a search of the child and adult abuse central registry
• Meet requirements to become an ROP eligible driver, including an active driver’s license

Schedule

Day shifts: 3.5 days on, 3.5 days off, total 42 hours per week. A‑shift: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday 7 am‑9 pm with a 2‑hour break; Wednesday 7 am‑2 pm. B‑shift: Wednesday 2 pm‑9 pm, Thursday, Friday, Saturday 7 am‑9 pm with a 2‑hour break.
