Renaissance Montgomery Hotel & Spa at the Convention Center in Montgomery, AL seeks a results-driven Group Sales Manager to drive group room nights and revenue for the region. You’ll leverage existing relationships with planners, manage a defined territory, and bid within Marriott’s standards to win business.

The property, connected to the Montgomery Convention Center and MPAC, offers a dynamic convention market with growth potential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of group sales at a full-service or convention hotel; Marriott experience preferred.
• Proven prospecting: outbound calls, blitzes, sales trips, and tradeshows; meet or beat room night and revenue goals.
• Established relationships with Midwest meeting planners, associations, SMERF groups, and third-party intermediaries.
• Proficiency in Marriott CI/TY and Cvent lead management.
• Experience managing a defined geographic territory and building a proactive outreach pipeline.
• Strong negotiation and contracting within Marriott's Library of Clauses; evaluate quotes below the rate floor.
• Self-directed to work remotely: plan deployment, hit weekly activity goals, report pace.

We’re seeking a results-driven professional to join our team as Group Sales Manager. We want to hear from you if you are passionate about sales, relationship-building, and creating memorable experiences for our guests!

What You Bring To The Table

• 3+ years of proactive group sales experience at a full-service or convention hotel, Marriott brand experience preferred
• Proven prospecting habits: outbound calls, solicitation blitzes, sales trips, and tradeshows, with a record of meeting or beating room night and revenue goals
• Existing relationships with Midwest meeting planners, associations, SMERF groups, and third-party intermediaries
• Proficiency in Marriott CI/TY and Cvent lead management highly preferred
• Experience managing a defined geographic territory and building a proactive outreach pipeline within that market
• Strong negotiation and contracting: rate, space, and concessions within Marriott's Library of Clauses, plus business evaluations when quoting below the rate floor
• Self-directed enough to work remotely: plans own deployment calendar, hits weekly activity goals, and reports pace without being chased
