Job summary

Nelnet is seeking an experienced Group Product Manager to lead hands-on product ownership for NextGen solutions within a dedicated portfolio. You will mentor a small team of Product Managers, shape long-term strategy, and collaborate with engineering, design, and cross-functional partners to deliver high-impact releases for higher education institutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
• 6+ years of product management experience with a strong track record of shipping products yourself.
• 1+ years mentoring or directly managing other Product Managers.
• Experience partnering with go-to-market teams to launch complex SaaS or platform products.

Responsibilities

• Own one or more NextGen solutions end to end—discovery, requirements, prioritization, and shipping with engineering and design.
• Dig into data, prototype, pressure‑test ideas, review designs, and validate solutions with key campus stakeholders.
• Model discovery and decision‑making to set the bar for product craft and team practices.
