Job summary

Trane Technologies in the United States is seeking an Engineering Project Support role to assist the project manager in delivering engineering deliverables on time. This on-site position supports cross-functional teams and drives accountability across the shop floor.

The ideal candidate has at least a high school diploma with some college, familiarity with MES/IT systems, and strong communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
• Minimum one year supporting shop floor computer systems.
• Knowledge of MES systems, Apriso, Next Gen PLM, part verification systems, Oracle or Apex.
• Networking systems knowledge is a plus.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to communicate goals and drive results.
• Proficient with Microsoft Windows, Word and Excel.
• Willingness to work more than 40 hours per week and weekends when needed.
• Prior Trane experience considered.

• Assists project manager in leading regular cross-functional Engineering activities (open issues meetings, etc.).
• Assists project manager with cross-functional issue resolution activities to resolution.
• Assists project manager in disseminating formal reports and summary presentations.
• Assists processing periodic internal management sign-off reviews.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Must have High School diploma or equivalent; Associates or Bachelors degree preferred.
• A minimum of one (1) year of supporting shop floor computer systems.
• Preferred knowledge of MES systems, Apriso, Next Gen PLM, part verification systems, Oracle or Apex.
• Networking systems knowledge is a plus.
• Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to lead by example and positively influence and inspire others to meet goals.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate goals, strategy and vision, address and resolve difficult issues, work effectively in a team environment and lead with little direct supervision.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel.
• Must have the flexibility to work more than 40 hours per week and on weekends as needed.
• Prior work history and experience at Trane and other employers will be considered.
• Knowledge of IT/OT configurations is a plus.
