Job summary

Rivian in Normal, Illinois, is seeking a Group Leader to motivate teams and drive best practices to hit production milestones on the shop floor. You will supervise technicians and team members, lead training, and coordinate with production managers to ensure schedules and support.

You will also work with the General Assembly Manager to identify opportunities to improve processes, equipment, and overall operational excellence while controlling costs and maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in high-volume manufacturing environment with leadership experience.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of technicians, Team Leaders, and Team Members.
• Train, develop, teach, and evaluate employees.
• Maintain strong relationships with production managers for schedules and support.
• Perform and teach all processes within the department and fill in as needed.
• Support pilot programs and change activities; monitor capital and expense spending.
• Determine team activity including hiring, firing, performance, wage, and salary reviews.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
• Plan and establish body shop team agenda and ensure performance scheduling.
• Work with the General Assembly Manager to identify and implement processes, equipment, and functional improvements.
