Job summary

Rivian is seeking a Group Leader for the R2 Body Team, on-site in Normal, IL. This role motivates technicians and team members, drives best practices, and partners with the Operations Leader to meet production milestones.

The position requires 3–5 years in a high-volume manufacturing setting with leadership, plus experience in body shop or automated processes. Strong project management and physical endurance are essential.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in high-volume manufacturing environment with leadership experience.
• Must have experience in a high-volume Body shop Manufacturing Environment or automated process environment.
• Demonstrated project management skills.
• Ability to stand for 8-12 hours per day and walk/climb/balance as needed.
• Ability to lift and carry at least 25 pounds and work in dusty/noisy environments.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of technicians and team members.
• Train, develop, and evaluate employees; coordinate with production managers on schedules.
• Provide leadership and motivation; fill in as needed across processes.
• Support pilot programs and change activities; monitor spending.
• Plan body shop team agendas; work with Body Shop Manager on improvements.
• Oversee hiring/firing recommendations and performance reviews; night shift 6am-3pm.
