LADACIN Network’s Child Care Group Leader role is a full-time position in a licensed program run by a nonprofit with 75+ years of service. You will foster a safe, engaging classroom environment and support each child’s development while guiding a team of classroom assistants.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• CDA/AA/BA or teaching certification in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
• Experience working with young children is required; experience with children with special needs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities supporting cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
• Create and maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom environment.
• Supervise and mentor classroom assistants while promoting teamwork and collaboration.
• Develop lesson plans and maintain classroom documentation per licensing requirements.
• Observe, assess, and document children's developmental progress.
• Build positive relationships with families and communicate progress daily.
• Ensure compliance with all Office of Licensing regulations and agency policies.
• Collaborate with coworkers and supervisors to provide high-quality childcare services.
• Attend staff meetings, professional development, and required trainings.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold professionalism.

LADACIN (Lifetime Assistance for Developmental and Challenging Individual Needs) has been serving the community for more than 75 years. As a nonprofit agency, our mission is to provide a continuum of educational, therapeutic, social, residential, and support services to infants, children, and adults with complex physical and developmental disabilities or delays.

Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate, energetic Child Care Group Leader to join our early childhood team. The Group Leader is responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment while supporting the individual needs of each child.

Full-time position 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
• Create and maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom environment.
• Supervise and mentor classroom assistants while promoting teamwork and collaboration.
• Develop lesson plans and maintain classroom documentation in accordance with licensing requirements.
• Observe, assess, and document children's developmental progress.
• Build positive relationships with families and maintain open communication regarding children's progress and daily activities.
• Ensure compliance with all Office of Licensing regulations and agency policies.
• Collaborate with coworkers and supervisors to provide high-quality childcare services.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and required trainings.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold the highest standards of professionalism.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Child Development Associate (CDA), Associate's degree, Bachelor's degree, or teaching certification in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
• Experience working with young children required.
• Experience working with children with special needs preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Must pass all required background checks and meet New Jersey Office of Licensing requirements.
