LADACIN's Child Care Program seeks a compassionate Child Care Group Leader for a full-time role from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. The leader creates a safe, engaging classroom environment while supporting each child's development and family communication.

The position emphasizes licensing compliance, collaboration with staff, and ongoing professional growth within a nonprofit pediatric program serving diverse needs in New Jersey.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CDA/Associate/Bachelor or teaching certification in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
• Experience working with young children required.
• Experience with children with special needs preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Must pass all required background checks and licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities supporting development.
• Create and maintain a safe, clean, welcoming classroom.
• Supervise and mentor classroom assistants promoting teamwork.
• Develop lesson plans and maintain documentation per licensing requirements.

Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate, energetic Child Care Group Leader to join our early childhood team. The Group Leader is responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment while supporting the individual needs of each child.This is a full-time position 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
• Create and maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom environment.
• Supervise and mentor classroom assistants while promoting teamwork and collaboration.
• Develop lesson plans and maintain classroom documentation in accordance with licensing requirements.
• Observe, assess, and document children's developmental progress.
• Build positive relationships with families and maintain open communication regarding children's progress and daily activities.
• Ensure compliance with all Office of Licensing regulations and agency policies.
• Collaborate with coworkers and supervisors to provide high-quality childcare services.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and required trainings.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold the highest standards of professionalism.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Child Development Associate (CDA), Associate's degree, Bachelor's degree, or teaching certification in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
• Experience working with young children required.
• Experience working with children with special needs preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Must pass all required background checks and meet New Jersey Office of Licensing requirements.
