Green Metals, Inc. is seeking a Plant Supervisor to direct scrap steel warehouse operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and accurate inventory management.
You will lead a team of plant workers, develop standard procedures, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across receiving, inspection, and shipping. The role requires strong supervisory skills, knowledge of safety rules, and experience with heavy equipment like overhead cranes and forklifts.

Summary Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of scrap steel warehouse. Individual Group Leaders report directly to the site Operations Manager.
Manages all subordinate in plant operations. Assists management with the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the plant operations department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Makes recommendations regarding performance reviews, rewarding and disciplining employees.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Two year degree from a college or technical school; or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, quality manuals, operational procedure, work instructions and technical manuals. Ability to write process procedures, standards, work instructions, routine reports and business correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. Ability to calculate percentages, area, circumference and volume and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES Ability to use various personal computer software (Microsoft Windows, Lotus Notes). Knowledge of metric system. Mechanically inclines Overhead Crane, License, Fork Lift License.

The employee is required to operate overhead crane in cabin attached to the crane at the height of 28” from the ground. The person with acrophobia is not qualified.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
