Job summary

Power Solutions International in Wisconsin is seeking a Group Lead to supervise a panel building team, ensuring on-time completion of power generation projects in line with engineering specs.

You will direct planning, training, safety, and continuous improvement on the shop floor, coordinating with Manufacturing Engineering and Production Trainer to meet deadlines and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent GED
• Associates degree preferred
• 3+ years of panel building experience
• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and translate to work instructions
• Good math skills
• Lean manufacturing background
• Proficiency with tape measures and basic hand/power tools
• Physically capable of lifting 40 pounds and standing long hours
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
• Familiarity with ISO standards

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and oversee operations of the responsible team
• Interview, select, train, and develop staff; maintain a safe working environment
• Oversee and lead work within departments to ensure accuracy and timeliness
• Coach and enforce policies and productivity standards
• Train employees to read drawings and follow specifications
• Develop weekly build plans and production timing
• Lead continuous improvement on the shop floor
• Drive data-driven processes on the shop floor
• Inspect work for accuracy and maintain paperwork
