Job summary

The Edinburgh Center is seeking a Group Home Director to lead a developmental disabilities residential program in Bedford, MA. This full-time role offers a starting salary of $45,000 with potential to reach $55,000 based on experience.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, implementing treatment goals, and ensuring regulatory compliance. You’ll manage staffing, interview and train counselors, monitor progress and treatment plans, coordinate medical needs, and oversee household operations

Qualifications

  • Two years of experience with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Behavioral programming experience preferred.
  • Residential, group home, human services, or supervisory experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to supervise, coach, train, and provide feedback to staff.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to respond effectively to behavioral, medical, staffing, and other unexpected situations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with families, providers, DDS, advocates, and others in the support team.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and schedule residential staff and coordinate coverage as needed.
  • Assist with interviewing, hiring, training, and performance management of Counselors.
  • Participate in development and implementation of individualized treatment goals and behavioral programming.
  • Monitor individual progress, documentation, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate routine and emergency medical needs and oversee medication administration systems.
  • Oversee household operations including meals, recreational activities, finances, supplies, and facility needs.
  • Ensure individuals have access to meaningful community activities and opportunities.
  • Maintain compliance with agency policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Build positive working relationships with individuals, staff, families, DDS, providers, and advocates.
  • Respond to staffing, behavioral, medical, and program needs as they arise.
