Job summary

Easterseals Rehabilitation Center in Evansville, Indiana is hiring for a Direct Care role within its eight Group Homes. The position focuses on providing personal and medical care, supporting daily living skills, and planning client activities in the community.

You will work with Direct Care Staff, assist with Group Home administration, and participate in after-hours coverage. A strong leader with teamwork and communication skills is essential for this role.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care, medical care and daily living support to clients.
• Develop meaningful relationships with Direct Care Staff to support retention.
• Assist Group Home Manager with administrative duties, medical equipment, and client appointments.
• Plan and participate in client activities and community outings.
• Maintain availability for after-hours support and call-ins.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

• Provide outstanding care to all clients by assisting with personal care, medical care, and daily living skills.
• Develop meaningful relationships with all Direct Care Staff and build retention strategies to support staff members.
• Support Group Home Manager by participating in Group Home administration duties, such as assisting with financial statements, maintaining medical equipment, and assisting with client doctor appointments.
• Have fun planning and participating in our client's favorite activities and going on outings in the community!
• Maintain availability to assist with after-hours support and call-ins.

Additionally, you will support both our clients by providing direct care, including assisting with personal hygiene and hands-on care, and our direct care staff by assisting with the day-to-day operations within the group home . WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO EASTERSEALS:
