Overview

The Group Fitness Instructor is responsible for delivering quality health and fitness services to members and guests, providing programming suitable for various fitness levels, and maintaining a safe environment.

Responsibilities

Education & Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Certification(s) for specific formats and/or a nationally recognized Group Fitness Certification.
• At least 2 years of progressive experience in a related field preferred.
• CPR Certified.

Physical Requirements:

• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Medium work involving exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and up to 20 pounds frequently.

Qualifications

• Effective communication with all levels of employees and guests.
• Ability to instruct various group classes such as Pilates, Stretch, Bootcamp, Circuit Training, HIIT, Cycling, Water Aerobics, Zumba, and Barre.
• Strong listening, understanding, and clarification skills.
• Good time management to ensure classes start and end on time.
• Attend all required meetings and training.
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming.
• Comply with hotel standards and regulations for safety and efficiency.
• Proactively identify and solve problems.
• Maintain confidentiality and show initiative.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor at all times.
• Hygiene is crucial; no cigarette smoke should be present during shifts.
