Position Summary
Provides engaging Group Fitness and Signature Group Training instruction through entertaining, educational, and fun classes that promote fitness and positive self-esteem in a safe environment. The Group Instructor & Coach is passionate about helping members reach their goals through Life Time's scientifically based individualized group training programs.

Maintains positive relationships with members to educate, motivate, and promote a healthy lifestyle by delivering quality, on-brand group fitness and Small Group training programs.

AlphaCoach
An Alpha coach is a Certified Personal Trainer with an Olympic Weightlifting Certification (USAW L1 or CF-1). Motivated by lifestyle changes, experienced in building a community of competitive athletes.

Ultra Fit Coach
An elite fitness instructor and performance coach ready to push participants to their limits for Life Time's most intense treadmill workout. Capable of executing, demonstrating, and developing running/sprinting technique and high-level balance, coordination, and stability movements.

GTX Coach
Welcoming yet commanding, skilled in managing spaces, people, movement, and time. Able to coach through modifications/progressions for any fitness level.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

1. Develop positive relationships with class participants by teaching challenging and entertaining classes.
2. Educate on correct form and alternative moves during routines.
3. Engage with members before and after classes, answering questions and fostering motivation.
4. Maintain cleanliness and organization of studio and SGT areas.
5. Use current music to entertain and motivate, ensuring appropriate language.
6. Promote Life Time promotions, programs, products, and services, encouraging participation.
7. Teach Group Fitness Classes and Coach Small Group Training Classes.
8. Promote and sell Signature Memberships.

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1+ year of fitness instructor experience
• Experience teaching various group fitness formats
• Experience with heart rate training
• Knowledge of anatomy and biomechanics
• Ability to perform aerobic activities for the duration of a class
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds routinely and occasionally 100 pounds
• CPR/AED Certification
• At least one Group Exercise Certification (NASM, ACE, AFAA, AEA)
• Life Time Fitness Training Certification
• Reformer Pilates Certification (for Reformer Pilates roles only)

Preferred Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Sports Medicine, or related field
