Overview
The Group Fitness Instructor is responsible for providing quality health and fitness services to members and guests. The instructor will develop programming suitable for various fitness levels and abilities, ensuring a safe environment at all times.
Responsibilities
- Education & Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Certification(s) for specific formats and/or a nationally recognized Group Fitness Certification.
- At least 2 years of progressive experience in a related field preferred.
- CPR Certified required.
- Physical Requirements:
- Flexible and long hours may be required.
- Medium work: exerting up to 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequently.
- Qualifications:
- Effective communication skills with all levels of employees and guests.
- Ability to instruct various group exercise classes such as Pilates, Stretch, Bootcamp, Circuit Training, HIIT, Cycling, Water Aerobics, Zumba, and Barre.
- Strong listening, understanding, and clarifying skills.
- Excellent time management to start and end classes punctually.
- Attend all required meetings and training sessions.
- Maintain regular attendance and high personal appearance standards.
- Comply with hotel standards and regulations to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Proactively identify and solve problems, maintaining confidentiality.
- Show initiative by anticipating guest and operational needs.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Maintain a friendly, warm demeanor and high hygiene standards, especially regarding smoking and personal grooming.
