Job summary

HealthFitness is seeking an energetic Group Class Instructor to join our fitness team at a client site in Detroit, Michigan.

Teach 1 to 5 classes per week with sessions such as dance, kickboxing, and circuit. Certification from ACE/AFAA/NASM/ACSM/NETA/NCCA and CPR/AED/First Aid are required before start date; 2+ years of experience preferred. Compensation ranges from $22 to $25 per class.

Qualifications

• Certification in group exercise formats (ACE/AFAA/NASM/ACSM/NETA/NCCA) is required.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification from a recognized organization required before start date.
• 2+ years group exercise instruction experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to navigate electronic onboarding and timecard systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide fun, effective, and safe group exercise to members (dance, kickboxing, step, boot camp, circuit).
• Lead engaging sessions and adapt cues for diverse participants.
• Help participants improve fitness, build confidence, and reach goals.

Education

ACE, AFAA/NASM, ACSM, NETA, NCCPT or other NCCA certification

CPR/AED and First Aid certification

The final wage offer will be determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, skill set, and other relevant factors.
