K10 Apprenticeships Limited is offering a Groundworker Apprenticeship near Heathrow. The program trains you to prepare sites, load materials, and help install drainage and foundations on construction projects.

You will spend 18 months developing hands-on skills while studying at college and earning an recognised qualification. You’ll work outdoors in varied conditions with a focus on safety, teamwork and learning.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at GCSE Grade 3 / D or Functional Skills at Entry 3 or above.
• Living in England for the last 3 years and right to work.
• 18+ due to site H&S rules.
• Full UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle.
• CSCS certification is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Unload and store building materials safely.
• Clear the construction site of debris, vegetation and obstacles.
• Excavate and level ground to required depth.
• Mark out foundations and ensure accurate measurements.
• Dig trenches for foundations with correct depth and alignment.
• Install drainage systems with proper gradients for water flow.
• Form working – shuttering and concrete finishing.
• Fix steel sheets for temporary retaining walls.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers and other groundworkers.
• Follow strict safety guidelines and wear PPE.
• Manual handling up to 25kg, outdoor work on uneven terrain.
