Job summary

K10 Apprenticeships Limited seeks an apprentice Electrician to join the Heathrow Shared Apprenticeship Scheme. The role covers installation, verification, testing and maintenance of electrical systems across multiple settings, with 18th Edition BS7671 compliance.

The programme runs for 48 months, with college training funded by K10 and progression toward full qualification, including English and Maths at GCSE Level 4+ and Level 2 Electrical Installation Diploma.

Qualifications

• English and Maths at GCSE Grade 4 or above, or Functional Skills at Level 2 or above. You must also have completed a Level 2 Electrical Installation Diploma.
• Level 2 Electrical Installation Diploma is required.
• CSCS/ECS Card advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Comply with safety and environmental regulations, building codes, and industry standards, including 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
• Perform electrical installation, verification, maintenance, and testing on various voltages (AC/DC, single/three-phase).
• Conduct maintenance, inspections, and condition reporting for existing electrical systems as per manufacturer instructions and installation requirements.
• Install wired and wireless solutions, ensuring compliance with 18th Edition BS 7671 and relevant standards while assessing electrical loads.
• Install mains-powered life safety systems in industrial, commercial, and residential settings.
• Install electrical connections for heating and cooling systems in different installations.
• Communicate and collaborate with project teams, clients, contractors, and stakeholders while ensuring data security.
